Your mother's, folded in a steel trunk and taken out once a year. Your grandmother's, the gold thread gone soft from being worn. You were told not to touch it, and then one day it was yours.

Uzma started Funky Fusion of Sarees because that saree was getting harder to find. The good ones had become bridal priced. The affordable ones came apart after one evening. Somewhere between the two, the saree stopped being something a woman in Karachi or Lahore could simply own and wear.

So we turned to carefully chosen imported sarees. Every banarsi, organza, silk and chiffon piece we sell is selected for quality, checked before it ships, and sent with a ready-made blouse so it is ready the day it reaches you.
